Exclamation Getting the gear you need to start working Reply With Quote

Hello ladies! Has anybody had this problem as a newbie: You're so poor you're going to start dancing, but you need some money to invest in some outfits/shoes BEFORE you can start? When I started dancing, that was my biggest problem. It's been a long time since then, but when I opened up a lingerie store, I remembered my Catch 22. So I created a special program for new and/or experienced dancers called The Starter Series.

I'm posting it on the Newbie Board because no one else has done this before, so where else would you think to look for this infomation. This is more of a service for you than a sale to me.
Back to The Starter Series, the lowest package (Silver) starts at $200 and will get you started with 3 dance outfits, platform shoes, money garter belt, and glitter body lotion. The Gold package gives you 5 outfits, shoes, garter belt, and rhinestone body jewelry for $350, and The Platinum package gives you 7 outfits, 2 pairs of dance shoes, and everything the Gold package includes, plus stockings and gloves. Ordering is super easy, you give me your size/preference info and payment information (I do accept Paypal) and I create a package for you that you will receive within a week. No more shopping on YOUR time! No more paying Retail Prices! And I keep a database of each customer's wardrobe including which club they work for so that your look will be unique.

For more experienced dancers, this is a perfect, inexpensive way to update your look without the hassle or costs of shopping retail.

Please contact me for more info, the information is not on my business website as this is a truly revolutionary concept that I created just for you ladies! My company is more about helping each woman be as sexy as she can than it is about profit, and on my mainstream online store, I never charge more than $50 for any item, because I don't believe it should cost a fortune to feel like a goddess. I also carry a wide variety of Plus Size Lingerie up to 4x, because EVERY woman deserves to feel beautiful! I constantly check my competition and always come in at the lowest prices.

Good luck ladies, and I hope you will take advantage of the program I created for you and start earning the income you desire!

thats awesome and i like the fact that you do carry bigger sizes and realize alot of females dont fit into the average one size fits all type... i am a thicker dancer and appreciate what your doing... i just went through the whole phase of starting out and trying to get a wardrobe together and it was expensive!

That's my biggest problem right now too!

I seriously only have $300 to my name, it's what's leftover of my life savings and it's so painful to think that I need to spend it to make that much and then some...

I'm afraid that I won't even make that much in my first night or my first week.

Any tips for just getting over the anxiety of spending money to make money?

^^^My advice is more simple.. more your style Allie. I get this post and it's great. However, it is true that for many, the money to put forth is just not there. My input is just take a sexy bra and panties or even a nice bathing suit (or sexy shirt and use as a dress) from your closet and get a cheap pair of heels and a garter (or make one) and your good to go... You'll start making money and you can go from there.
Confidence is everything anyway-- And if you don't have it, FAKE IT TIL YOU MAKE IT!
Good luck!

^^ i agree. when i was working my old minimum wage job, the idea of spending a couple hundred to start out was just not possible. i mean, that was food money for over a month! so yeah, in the beginning its probably best to start out with whatever you have laying around and once you start making money you can upgrade. i used an old tube top as a skirt and a pair of cut up fishnets as a top for the first day.

I don't see how this would help out the girls who want to start dancing, but have no money to buy gear. If you have $200 bucks to spend on one of these packages, then you are not to poor to buy stripper gear, and could probably put together a starter outfit yourself for less than half of that.

when you first start out get colors that coordinate with everything... and depending how many shifts you work a week start off with a couple of outfits or seperates so your not washing clothes every night

honestly one pair of shoes is good to start off with just have a pair of sexy heels u already own for back up in case something happens

i suggest a g string for every shift you work if you work 4 nights a week buy 4 g strings maybe black and white because those go with everything

then get the seperates you can mix and match and make it look like more outfits then not

Well, so far, the only heels I have, that I could imagine wearing for dancing, kind of look like gladiator heels. My only concerns about wearing those is that I think they're only 4.5" and they're this metallic copper-ish color that hardly goes with anything.

Should I just invest in like 1 pair of actual stripper shoes- like the clear ones, and buy some g-strings, too?

I really appreciate the advice. =)

When I first started I bought clear heels and a TINY TINY white sheer ruffle mini skirt. I paired it with a cute pink, green, and white argyle tie side swim suit and pink leg warmers. I also brought in a light blue bikinni with white stripes that tied a couple times around my stomach paired with the same blue leg warmers with a bow that went through it. Honestly I think those may have been my cutest outfits but I lost the skirt. I made bank in that outfit. Look around you probally have something you can wear. But buy the shoes! Normal heels will kill you before the night is done.

I agree! You should be able to start dancing for under $100: shoes for $40, a dancer bikini for $30, and a thong for $8. I only buy a new outfit every few months at MOST, and I wear the same (comfortable, broken-in) shoes every night for years. Wash your thong out every night after work and let it dry while you sleep.

There is no reason a newbie would need 5-7 outfits. Chances are she'll have 2 or 3 at most that she wears frequently. And NO GLITTER--guys hate it! Keep your money in a purse or tie it around your ankle with a hair tie.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm hating but if a girl is really broke she does not need to spend that much to start dancing.

Hi guys...

I remember when I started out I had to borrow $50 from my boyfriend. We were both working minimum wage jobs. He was furious! He didn't want me dancing to begin with and here I was taking the last of his money. The sad thing was it took me 4 days to pay him back as I was a lost newbie those first couple of days. With stripping though you tend to get the hang of it pretty quickly. I brought a cheap pair of heals for $20. I got teased about them a lot at work. They called them prom shoes. I got like a $15 once piece from one of those small department stores...it was supposed to be lingerie. And the rest went to make up. I believe the $50 was a good investment.

I have a website myself where I custom make dancer outfits. EVERY thing is reasonably priced. You choose your top to your bottom and even your fabric. FREE matching bag with each purchase and multiple ways to get free outfits. Please check it out! www.anaiscustom.net

If want to start dancing and have little money to your name, I'd just start with a bikini and a pair of regular heels. The girls may look down on it, but really the guys don't care at all. I still occasionally dance in regular heels.
